Come along to our end of season Social Evening and Buffet at the Pentewan Seahorse Centre. The cost for the buffet will be £7 per head (how cheap is that?) and includes pasties, sandwiches, quiches, salads and choice of 2 gateaux.

Night Paddle Golant

Thursday 29th September 6.00pm

Night Paddle from Golant to Lerryn and back (with stop off at Lerryn pub for a drink etc). Meet at Golant 6pm. Bring your own boat and equipment unless you’ve pre-arranged for hire of equipment via Mark Fowler. Remember to bring money for parking, pub and lighting for you and your boat. Avoid white lighting for when you’re on the water ie use glow sticks etc (white light ie head lights/torch ok for when off the water). Should be a good night!

Club Night Paddle Golant to Lerryn

Thursday 30th September 6.30pm on the water

Our annual night paddle from Golant to Lerryn will take place on Thursday 30th September. We will be on the water at Golant at 6.30pm (Sunset 7.00pm).

Lights are required for all paddlers, but no white lights please. Glow Sticks are fine.

Non Star paddlers must be with a competent paddler.

Dave Clare has organized a get-together with the Maritime Rescue Co-Ordination Centre at Falmouth.

Meet at the coast guard office at Pendennis at 19:45 with a brief from the MRCC team commencing at 20:00 finishing at 21:30. There are three places left, so Sea kayakers names to Dave to attend this brief.

Porthpean Sailing Club Sail/Kayak and BBQ Disco

Saturday 19th June 2.00pm onwards

All members are invited to Porthpean Sailing Club for the chance to sail on Saturday afternoon and also for a BBQ and Disco in the evening at the Midsummer Party. Sailing club members will in return get the chance to try a kayak or canoe.

BBQ and pudding cost is £5.00 per person

Sea Trip Marazion

Location: Marazion
Sea boats only please (due to open water nature of trip)

Skill level: As long as you are happy in a sea boat in a force 3 to 4, can paddle approx 20km at a leisurely pace and have appropriate winter clothing come along.

Meeting: Jordan's cafe on long rock road Marazion.
Arrive 09.30 on the water at 10.00, grid ref 515310, post code TR17 0AA

Directions: Down the A30 through Crowlas, next roundabout take 2nd exit, T junction turn left, carpark 150m on your right. Cafe is in the carpark (not sure of the parking costs). Bring a packed lunch and a warm drink. Please be prepared for cold weather no matter what the conditions.

The plan: Depends on the weather, but ideally cross the bay to Newlyn and follow the coast along past Mousehole and to Lamorna, possibly lunch there. Return on the rising tide to circumnavigate St Michaels mount.

New Year Paddle

Launch Caffa Mill slipway (parking at the library available)

Kayaks and Canadian Canoes all welcome.

The club kayaks will not be available for this event, so you will need your own boat. If you want to paddle a Canadian however, then contact Darren to arrange. Please arrive in plenty of time to be on the water at 10.00am.
